Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Casolari di campagna by Romolo Leone. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,480.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,200.00 – 2,500.00. Other works by Romolo Leone have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2005 the work Neapolitan fisherfolk at the shore was auctioned for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,817.74).
