Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings, which included the work Gathering Wood by Roman Kochanowski. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,029.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Roman Kochanowski have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May this year the work Auf dem Lande (Gehöft an einem Weiher) was auctioned for EUR 4,826.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gathering Wood von Roman Kochanowski zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.029,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Roman Kochanowski konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai diesen Jahres die Arbeit Auf dem Lande (Gehöft an einem Weiher) für EUR 4.826,00 versteigert.
