Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Equilibrium by Rolph Scarlett. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,661.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rolph Scarlett - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,276.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Equilibrium von Rolph Scarlett zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.661,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rolph Scarlett mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 77.276,34) versteigert wurde.
