Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Ellipse Zu Kreiss Nr. 5 by Rolf Weber was worth EUR 8,125.00 to a buyer in October 2011. This price was achieved in the auction The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three at Sothebys in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rolf Weber - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Mr. 5); Untitled (Mr. 6) (Two Works), which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,722.46).
