Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples Evening Sale, which included the work Night Bird by Rolf Nesch. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,798.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rolf Nesch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elbbrücke II, which sold at auction in April 2013 for EUR 164,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Prints & Multiples Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Night Bird von Rolf Nesch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.798,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rolf Nesch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elbbrücke II beobachtet, die im April 2013 für EUR 164.700,00 versteigert wurde.
