The work Altered Sphere 1 by Rolando López Dirube was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,847.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Altered Sphere 1 is the most expensive artwork by Rolando López Dirube that we have observed at auctions so far.
