In January 2003 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work Knightsbridge by Roland Davies. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 528.75 (€ 809.84), 32% above the upper estimate. Other works by Roland Davies have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,328.68) in May 2005 for the work Out from Foochow.
