The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,112.50 (€ 14,114.21), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Fry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of E.M. Forster in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 325,062.00 (€ 362,581.90).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Fry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of E.M.
