Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cagnes by Roger Fry was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,980.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Fry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of E.M. Forster in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 325,062.00 (€ 362,581.90).

Die Arbeit Cagnes von Roger Fry kam im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.980,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Fry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of E.M. Forster im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.062,00 (€ 362.581,90).
