Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition 413 by Roger Bissière was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 23,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Bissière achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition 119 (Oiseau Rouge Sur Noir) in May 2012 with an auction result of EUR 384,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition 413 von Roger Bissière im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 23.750,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Bissière erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition 119 (Oiseau Rouge Sur Noir) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 384.750,00.
