Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,130.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roelof Koets II - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grapes on a stone ledge, which sold at auction in January 2000 for USD 14,950.00 (€ 15,322.33).

Die Arbeit A Family Portrait In A Landscape von Roelof Koets II wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.130,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
