Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rodolphe Caillaux could be acquired at Christies in Paris in January 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Intérieurs auction, the work Bâtiment public changed hands for EUR 84.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by Rodolphe Caillaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter scene in February this year with an auction result of USD 637.50 (€ 601.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rodolphe Caillaux konnte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Intérieurs wechselte die Arbeit Bâtiment public für EUR 84,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 200,00 – 300,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rodolphe Caillaux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winter scene im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 637,50 (€ 601,30).
