Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robin Rae could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER auction, the work Abstract landscape changed hands for GBP 164.50 (€ 236.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Rae achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rebuilding in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).

In der Auktion AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER wechselte die Arbeit Abstract landscape für GBP 164,50 (€ 236,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Rae erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rebuilding im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52).
