This artwork by Roberto Fabelo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2020. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Cielo, tierra y mar sold for USD 437,500.00 (€ 366,170.07) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Roberto Fabelo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Perrerío sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 579,600.00 (€ 522,491.66).
