Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The South Downs, Sussex by Roberto Angelo Kittermaster Marshall was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 504.00 (€ 748.46). Admittedly, works by Roberto Angelo Kittermaster Marshall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The River Test Above Stockbridge, Hampshire in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,479.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The South Downs, Sussex von Roberto Angelo Kittermaster Marshall im November 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 504,00 (€ 748,46) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roberto Angelo Kittermaster Marshall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The River Test Above Stockbridge, Hampshire im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.479,11).
