Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2003 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS, which included the work A winter landscape by Robert William Arthur Rouse. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25.00 – 200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 47.00 (€ 61.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert William Arthur Rouse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Norfolk River Landscape With A Farm And Windmill Beyond in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,342.29).

Im Juli 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A winter landscape von Robert William Arthur Rouse zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 47,00 (€ 61,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert William Arthur Rouse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Norfolk River Landscape With A Farm And Windmill Beyond im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.342,29).
