Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Through the ford; and Figures seated under a tree with cart horses by Robert Watson was sold in the The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, auction at Christies in London in July 2005. It achieved a price of GBP 576.00 (€ 835.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Watson achieve.
