The work Portrait Of Colonel William Cope (1612-1691) by Robert Walker was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in October 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,403.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Walker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Double Portrait Of Oliver Cromwell And General John Lambert, which sold at auction in July 2016 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,249.60).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Colonel William Cope (1612-1691) von Robert Walker wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.403,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Walker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Double Portrait Of Oliver Cromwell And General John Lambert beobachtet, die im Juli 2016 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.249,60) versteigert wurde.
