The work A winding river by Robert Taylor Carson was sold in the Irish and 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2004. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,434.00 (€ 2,151.53), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Taylor Carson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ryan'S Pub, Roundstone, Co. Galway in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,267.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A winding river von Robert Taylor Carson wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.434,00 (€ 2.151,53) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Taylor Carson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ryan'S Pub, Roundstone, Co. Galway im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.267,70).
