Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Photographs, which included the work Industrial Canal Breach, Reynes Street by Robert Polidori. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,380.00 (€ 14,179.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Polidori - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Green Car, 1997, which sold at auction in November 2013 for EUR 55,500.00.
