Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Intimate Lighting Series) by Robert Natkin was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,499.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Natkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 58,000.00 (€ 37,255.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Intimate Lighting Series) von Robert Natkin kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.499,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Natkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 58.000,00 (€ 37.255,91).
