Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work C6722, from the Bern series by Robert Natkin was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary ArtFeaturing a Selection of Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Bonhams in New York in December 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,195.88). Admittedly, works by Robert Natkin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 58,000.00 (€ 37,255.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit C6722, from the Bern series von Robert Natkin wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary ArtFeaturing a Selection of Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.195,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Natkin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 58.000,00 (€ 37.255,91).
