Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 102.000,00 (€ 85.035,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Mapplethorpe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self-Portrait im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 548.750,00 (€ 625.682,41).
