Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Spanish Courtship by Robert Kemm was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,818.67). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Kemm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British admiring The Painting, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,640.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Spanish Courtship von Robert Kemm im Februar 2009 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.818,67) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Kemm mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit British admiring The Painting beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.640,81) versteigert wurde.
