Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Gallon could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Ploughed field at Higham changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 175.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Gallon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A woman and child crossing a bridge by a lake in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 27,025.00 (€ 42,837.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Gallon konnte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Ploughed field at Higham für GBP 120,00 (€ 175,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Gallon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A woman and child crossing a bridge by a lake im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.025,00 (€ 42.837,95).
