Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Fowler could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work British the Butterfly changed hands for USD 32,500.00 (€ 26,285.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Fowler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dance of Salome, which sold at auction in April 2014 for USD 100,000.00 (€ 72,098.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Fowler konnte im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit British the Butterfly für USD 32.500,00 (€ 26.285,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Fowler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dance of Salome beobachtet, die im April 2014 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 72.098,05) versteigert wurde.
