In February 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Gundogs with a pheasant by Robert Cleminson. The auction ended at the price of GBP 600.00 (€ 870.08), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Cleminson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gambols Disturbed in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 10,800.00 (€ 9,120.08).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gundogs with a pheasant von Robert Cleminson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 870,08) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Cleminson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gambols Disturbed im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.800,00 (€ 9.120,08).
