Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Turkish Bath, after Ingres by Robert Ballagh was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,366.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Ballagh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man, Woman With A Jackson Pollock in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 105,952.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Turkish Bath, after Ingres von Robert Ballagh kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.280,00 (€ 3.366,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Ballagh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man, Woman With A Jackson Pollock im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.000,00 (€ 105.952,87).
