This artwork by Rigaud Benoit achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in November last year. In the Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work The Annunciation sold for USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,687.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. This high result makes The Annunciation the most expensive artwork by Rigaud Benoit that we have observed at auctions so far.
