Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Western Art, which included the work Bird Woman Study by Richard Greeves. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 923.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Richard Greeves have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2013 the work Study For The Monument The Unknown, No.6 was auctioned for USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,803.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird Woman Study von Richard Greeves zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 923,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Richard Greeves konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2013 die Arbeit Study For The Monument The Unknown, No.6 für USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.803,61) versteigert.
