A top price for Richard Thomas Moynan - as previously expected
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Ball In The Cap by Richard Thomas Moynan. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 140,391.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ball In The Cap is the most expensive artwork by Richard Thomas Moynan that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ball In The Cap von Richard Thomas Moynan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 140.391,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Ball In The Cap das teuerste Kunstwerk von Richard Thomas Moynan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
