Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Castorowoma Serial II by Richard Onyango. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,199.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Richard Onyango have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Leyland Clydesdale was auctioned for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,228.84).

Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Castorowoma Serial II von Richard Onyango zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.199,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Richard Onyango konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit Leyland Clydesdale für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.228,84) versteigert.
