In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work British Viscount Rowland Hill On His Grey Hunter With The Shropshire Hunt by Richard Jones for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,470.80). This price was achieved in the auction The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house.
