A top price for Richard Garbe - as previously expected
The work An Elegy by Richard Garbe was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,383.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An Elegy is the most expensive artwork by Richard Garbe that we have observed at auctions so far.
