In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern British Art Day Sale, which included the work Schooner Johanna at Poole on a wet day by Richard Eurich. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,578.56), 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Eurich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work York Festival Triptych, which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 104,500.00 (€ 130,567.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Schooner Johanna at Poole on a wet day von Richard Eurich zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 53.578,56) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Eurich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit York Festival Triptych beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für GBP 104.500,00 (€ 130.567,75) versteigert wurde.
