Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Scene No. 2007 by Rhee Da was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 6,689.03), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rhee Da - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wide Rally & Baby Doll, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 15,298.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scene No. 2007 von Rhee Da wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 6.689,03) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Rhee Da mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wide Rally & Baby Doll beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 15.298,20) versteigert wurde.
