In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Shipping in the Pool of London by Hubert James Medleycott. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 540.00 (€ 792.49), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hubert James Medleycott - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Towing Down River In The Pool of London, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,134.17).

Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shipping in the Pool of London von Hubert James Medleycott zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 540,00 (€ 792,49) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hubert James Medleycott mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Towing Down River In The Pool of London beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.134,17) versteigert wurde.
