Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Foglie di nespolo e colomba by Renato Guttuso was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Milan in May 2011. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 61,280.00 23% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Renato Guttuso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aranceto Notturno, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 170,100.00 (€ 201,672.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Foglie di nespolo e colomba von Renato Guttuso wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 61.280,00 und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Renato Guttuso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aranceto Notturno beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 170.100,00 (€ 201.672,69) versteigert wurde.
