A top price for Renato Birolli - as previously expected
The work Incendio alle Cinque Terre by Renato Birolli was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2005. The price achieved of GBP 131,200.00 (€ 193,480.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 110,000.00 – 140,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Incendio alle Cinque Terre is the most expensive artwork by Renato Birolli that we have observed at auctions so far.
