Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Dream Of West Lake No. 8 by Ren Xiaolin for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,506.25). This price was achieved in the auction SO Contemporary Asia (Hirsch) at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Xiaolin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pagoda in the Mountain in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 680,000.00 (€ 67,186.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dream Of West Lake No. 8 von Ren Xiaolin für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.506,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion SO Contemporary Asia (Hirsch) bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Xiaolin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pagoda in the Mountain im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 680.000,00 (€ 67.186,25).
