Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work '10P For A Stale Cheese Sandwich! Have You Any Idea What My Losses At Lloyd'S Were?' by Raymond Allen Jackson was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 177.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raymond Allen Jackson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Really! I've always wanted to meet a financial journalist! in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,509.58).
