Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rose By An Open Window by Ratislav Rakov was sold in the Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons auction at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,314.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ratislav Rakov have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work Marine Still Life With Thistle was auctioned for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,027.26).
