In the From Peale to Peto: American Masters from the Pollack Collection auction, the work Currants and Biscuits sold for USD 352,800.00 (€ 324,921.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raphaelle Peale - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life with Liqueur and Fruit, which sold at auction in December 2002 for USD 1,021,500.00 (€ 974,248.93).
