Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 33,600.00 (€ 26,615.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raoul du Gardier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Départ Pour Une Croisière Sur La Mer, which sold at auction in November 2006 for EUR 57,600.00.
