Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ransome Gillet Holdredge could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings auction, the work Riverine Landscape, Possibly Sacramento changed hands for USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,037.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Ransome Gillet Holdredge have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April this year by the work Wind River Mountain, Idaho at USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,929.35).
