Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Carson Valley, Colorado 22 x 35 3/4 in. framed 30 1/4 x 43 3/4 in. by Ransome Gillet Holdredge for USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,642.83). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,400.00 – 3,400.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ransome Gillet Holdredge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wind River Mountain, Idaho in April this year with an auction result of USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,929.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Carson Valley, Colorado 22 x 35 3/4 in. framed 30 1/4 x 43 3/4 in. von Ransome Gillet Holdredge für USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.642,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.400,00 – 3.400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ransome Gillet Holdredge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wind River Mountain, Idaho im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.929,35).
