Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Cache-cache by Ralph Brown. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,680.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ralph Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Girl Sitting On A Wall in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,414.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cache-cache von Ralph Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.680,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ralph Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Girl Sitting On A Wall im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.414,45).
