Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Raffaele Santoro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Via Di Paese, which sold at auction in November 2004 for EUR 9,920.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Un bacio sospirato von Francesco Raffaele Santoro wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Important Paintings of the XIX Century | Asian Works of Art bei Il Ponte versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Raffaele Santoro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Via Di Paese beobachtet, die im November 2004 für EUR 9.920,00 versteigert wurde.
