Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Paliza by Rafael Canogar was sold in the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,602.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rafael Canogar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pintura no. 48 in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 144,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Paliza von Rafael Canogar wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.602,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rafael Canogar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pintura no. 48 im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.000,00.
