A top price for R. Romagnoli - as previously expected
The work Still life of grapes, pears, apples, pomegranates and figs beside an amphora, basket and pot by R. Romagnoli was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 537.75 (€ 812.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still life of grapes, pears, apples, pomegranates and figs beside an amphora, basket and pot is the most expensive artwork by R. Romagnoli that we have observed at auctions so far.
